- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 2–3 green onions
- 1 1/2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes
- 1 tablespoon cilantro
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from the chicken
- Pound chicken to even thickness
- Mix lime juice, oil, soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, chili flakes, and cilantro
- Add chicken and coat well with marinade
- Marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat
- Oil grill grates lightly
- Grill chicken for 3-5 minutes per side until cooked through
- Grill green onions during last minutes if using
- Rest chicken for 5 minutes before serving
- Slice or serve whole with garnish
