A simple yet delicious dish that combines savory ground beef with tender potatoes, all cooked in one skillet! Perfect for busy weeknights, this meal is comforting, flavorful, and satisfying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped (optional)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup (240ml) beef broth
  • ½ cup (120ml) tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup (50g) shredded cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add diced potatoes and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp olive oil. Cook the chopped onion and garlic until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed.
  • Stir in paprika, black pepper, salt, and chili flakes. Mix well.
  • Add the bell pepper, cooked potatoes, beef broth, and tomato sauce. Stir and let simmer for 10-15 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  • Sprinkle cheese on top if using. Cover until cheese melts.
