- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, diced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped (optional)
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 1 cup (240ml) beef broth
- ½ cup (120ml) tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ½ cup (50g) shredded cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add diced potatoes and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp olive oil. Cook the chopped onion and garlic until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in paprika, black pepper, salt, and chili flakes. Mix well.
- Add the bell pepper, cooked potatoes, beef broth, and tomato sauce. Stir and let simmer for 10-15 minutes until potatoes are tender.
- Sprinkle cheese on top if using. Cover until cheese melts.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
