Description
Ham and cheese sticks are warm, cheesy snacks wrapped in flaky dough or crispy wrappers. Easy to prepare and endlessly customizable, they’re perfect for parties, lunchboxes, or quick snacks. With melty cheese, savoury ham, and golden edges, these bites deliver comfort in every bite—baked or fried.
Ingredients
Deli ham, prosciutto, or cooked ham slices
Mozzarella, cheddar, or Gruyère cheese (cut into strips)
Puff pastry, crescent rolls, or wonton wrappers
Optional: paprika, garlic powder, melted butter
Instructions
Lay out ham slices and cut cheese into thin strips.
Roll out dough (if using pastry or rolls) and cut into rectangles.
Place a ham slice on each piece of dough, top with cheese.
Roll up tightly, sealing edges.
To Bake: Preheat oven to 200°C. Bake 12–15 minutes on a parchment-lined tray until golden.
To Fry: Heat oil and fry sticks until crispy and golden.
Optional: Brush with butter before baking; add seasoning for flavour.
Notes
Use deli ham for easy rolling; prosciutto adds bold flavor.
For a healthier option, use lean ham and low-fat cheese.
Wonton wrappers make a crispier version that is ideal for frying.
Seal tightly to prevent cheese from leaking.
