Description

Fresh and fruity Homemade Cherry Lemonade made with cherries, lemon juice, sugar, and water for the perfect refreshing summer drink.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups sweet cherries, fresh and pitted
  • 3/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 6 cups sparkling water or still water
  • Lemon slices for garnish
  • Fresh cherries for garnish
  • Ice for serving

Instructions

  1. Wash and pit the cherries before adding them to a blender with the fresh lemon juice and sugar.
  2. Blend the mixture until smooth.
  3. Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer to create a smooth cherry syrup.
  4. Fill serving glasses halfway with ice.
  5. Add 3 tablespoons of cherry syrup to each glass.
  6. Top with sparkling water or still water and stir well.
  7. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh cherries before serving.

Notes

  1. Use fresh lemon juice for the brightest flavor.
  2. Prepare sparkling versions by the glass so the carbonation stays fresh.
  3. Store leftover cherry syrup in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
