Description

Homemade Fresh Pico de Gallo is a bright salsa fresca made with diced tomatoes, onion, jalapeños, cilantro, garlic, and lime juice.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 1 medium white onion, diced
  • 2 large jalapeño peppers, seeded and diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • 34 green onions, diced
  • 1 medium lime, juiced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash and dice tomatoes into small pieces.
  2. Dice the white onion and jalapeño peppers.
  3. Chop the cilantro and green onions.
  4. Mince the garlic and juice the lime.
  5. Add all ingredients to a large bowl.
  6. Stir well until evenly combined.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

  1. Use ripe but firm tomatoes for best texture.
  2. Remove jalapeño seeds for a milder salsa.
  3. Stir before serving to mix the juices.
