Ingredients

Scale

For the Dough (or use pre-made pizza dough):

  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • ¾ cup warm water (110°F/45°C)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Filling:

  • ½ cup marinara sauce (optional)
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup provolone cheese, sliced
  • ½ cup pepperoni slices
  • ½ cup salami slices
  • ½ cup ham slices
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

For Topping:

  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp dried oregano

Instructions

Make the Dough (Skip if using store-bought dough):

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil, then knead for 8 minutes until smooth.
  3. Cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Assemble the Stromboli:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the dough into a 12×16-inch rectangle.
  3. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce (if using), leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  4. Layer mozzarella, provolone, pepperoni, salami, and ham evenly.
  5. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.

Roll & Bake:

  1. Carefully roll the dough from the long side, tucking the edges to seal.
  2. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  3. Brush with egg wash, then sprinkle Parmesan and oregano.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Let cool for 5 minutes, then slice and serve with marinara sauce.
