Description

Easy grilled honey garlic chicken skewers with a sweet, savory, and tangy glaze. Perfect for quick dinners or outdoor grilling.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • Bamboo skewers, soaked in water
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Soak bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes
  2. Cut chicken into 1-inch cubes and thread onto skewers
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat or oven to 400°F
  4. Melt butter in a saucepan and sauté garlic until fragrant
  5. Add honey, vinegar, soy sauce, and brown sugar and simmer
  6. Mix cornstarch with water and stir into sauce until thickened
  7. Grill skewers 5-7 minutes per side brushing sauce at the end
  8. Or bake for 20 minutes then broil with sauce for 2-3 minutes
  9. Let skewers rest briefly and serve with extra sauce

Notes

  1. Do not overcrowd skewers for even cooking
  2. Soak skewers to prevent burning
  3. Brush sauce at the end to avoid burning
