Description

Honey Garlic Salmon in the air fryer is a quick, nutritious, and flavorful dish featuring tender salmon fillets coated in a sweet and savory glaze. Cooked to perfection in under 15 minutes, this meal is ideal for busy weeknights and impressively elegant for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets (approx. 6 oz each)

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or coconut aminos for gluten-free)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced (or 1 teaspoon garlic powder)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Optional: 1 teaspoon lemon or lime juice (for added zest)

  • Optional garnishes: sesame seeds, chopped parsley, citrus zest

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, and optional lemon juice.

  2. Marinate the Salmon: Place salmon fillets in a dish or bag. Pour half the marinade over the salmon. Let sit for 15–30 minutes.

  3. Preheat the Air Fryer: Set air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes. Lightly brush the basket with oil.

  4. Cook the Salmon: Place fillets skin-side down in the basket. Air fry for 7–8 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

  5. Baste and Serve: Remove and spoon remaining marinade over the salmon. Garnish with sesame seeds, herbs, or citrus zest as desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For thicker fillets, add 1–2 more minutes of cooking time.

Use parchment paper in the air fryer for easier cleanup.

This marinade also works well with other fish like trout, cod, or tilapia.

Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 350°F for 3–4 minutes for best texture.
