Ingredients
-
3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (1.5–2 lbs)
-
10 oz fettuccine pasta (or pasta of choice)
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
¼ cup pure honey
-
¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
-
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
-
2 tbsp olive oil
-
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
-
Optional: ½ tsp chili flakes for extra heat
-
2–3 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
-
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta until al dente (8–10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
-
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with black pepper. Cook 6–8 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and slice into strips.
-
In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil. Sauté garlic and red bell pepper for 2–3 minutes.
-
Stir in honey and soy sauce, reduce heat slightly, and simmer 2–3 minutes until glossy.
-
Return chicken and pasta to skillet, tossing to coat in sauce. Add chili flakes if using.
-
Garnish with green onions and serve hot.
Notes
Use fettuccine for best texture, but penne, spaghetti, or bow ties work too.
Swap chicken with shrimp or tofu for variation.
Add cream or coconut milk for a silkier sauce.
Spice lovers can add sriracha or extra chili flakes.
Store sauce separately for meal prep to keep pasta fresh.
