- 4 chicken breasts (or thighs, skinless)
- 3 tbsp honey (raw or unprocessed for better flavor)
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Optional: ½ tsp chili flakes for extra spice
Instructions
- Rinse and pat dry the chicken with paper towels. Lightly season with salt and a pinch of black pepper.
- In a small bowl, mix honey, black pepper, soy sauce, minced garlic, and chili flakes (if using). Set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Reduce heat to low and pour the honey-pepper mixture over the chicken. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, occasionally spooning the sauce over the chicken to glaze.
- Once the sauce thickens and the chicken is fully coated, remove from heat.
- Serve hot with your favorite side dish and garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro, if desired.
