Description

Sweet heat meets slow-cooked tenderness in this hot honey chicken recipe, perfect for sandwiches, tacos, sliders, and game day food.

Ingredients

Scale

2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup hot sauce (adjust to taste)

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

1 tbsp minced garlic

1 tsp smoked paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/4 cup chicken broth

Buns or slider rolls for serving

Pickles or slaw (optional)

Instructions

1. Add chicken to slow cooker.

2. Whisk honey, hot sauce, vinegar, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, and broth.

3. Pour mixture over chicken.

4. Cook on LOW 4–5 hours or HIGH 2–3 hours.

5. Shred chicken and return to sauce.

6. Serve on buns with pickles or slaw.

Notes

Adjust heat by using more or less hot sauce.

Chicken thighs can replace breasts for richer flavor.

Leftovers freeze well and reheat quickly.
