Ingredients
12 oz kielbasa sausage, sliced
8 oz pasta (penne, fusilli, or preferred type)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup bell peppers, sliced (optional)
1½ cups tomato sauce or 1 cup Alfredo sauce
Salt and pepper, to taste
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
½ cup grated Parmesan or shredded cheddar cheese
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Cook the Pasta: Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Brown the Kielbasa: In a large skillet, heat olive oil. Add sliced kielbasa and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
Sauté the Veggies: In the same pan, add onion and garlic. Sauté until soft. Add bell peppers if using and cook until tender.
Combine: Return kielbasa to the pan. Add the cooked pasta and pour in your sauce of choice. Stir well.
Season and Simmer: Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Let it simmer for 5 minutes until heated through.
Serve: Top with cheese and garnish with parsley. Serve hot.
