Description

Rich, chewy Knock You Naked Bars layered with buttery cookie dough, creamy caramel, peanut butter, and semi-sweet chocolate chips for the ultimate crowd-pleasing dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup butter, softened

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar

  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1 bag (14 oz) caramels

  • 5 oz evaporated milk

  • ½ cup peanut butter

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.

  • In a small bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt.

  • In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.

  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

  • Gradually add flour mixture; stir in chocolate chips.

  • Spread half of the cookie dough into the prepared pan and bake for 8–10 minutes, until lightly golden.

  • In a double boiler, melt caramels with evaporated milk; stir in peanut butter until smooth.

  • Pour caramel mixture evenly over the baked cookie base.

  • Drop remaining cookie dough by spoonfuls over the caramel layer.

  • Bake 15–20 minutes more, or until golden brown and bubbling.

  • Cool completely before slicing into bars.

Notes

Chill before slicing for neat, clean squares.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.

Reheat slightly before serving to restore gooey texture.

Add a sprinkle of sea salt on top for a salted caramel version.
