Description
Korean BBQ steak bowls with bell peppers, spinach, and crunchy toppings tossed in a spicy sesame ginger dressing.
Ingredients

- 2/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 1 tablespoon fresh minced or crushed ginger
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
- 2–3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons sambal oelek
- 5 cloves garlic
- 1 lb top sirloin steak thinly sliced
- 2 bell peppers sliced
- 2 handfuls spinach
- wonton strips
- scallions
- sesame seeds
Instructions
- Blend soy sauce, mirin, ginger, sesame oil, brown sugar, sambal oelek, and garlic until smooth.
- Place steak in a bag and coat with dressing. Refrigerate 1 to 2 hours.
- Heat a heavy pan over high heat.
- Remove steak from marinade and discard used marinade.
- Cook steak in hot pan for 1 to 2 minutes until browned and cooked to desired doneness.
- Combine cooked steak with bell peppers and spinach.
- Toss with dressing.
- Top with wonton strips, scallions, and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- Add kimchi or seaweed for extra flavor.
- A soft boiled egg also works well as a topping.
- Store extra dressing in the refrigerator for later use.
