- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup salsa con queso
- 3 (8-inch) flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes.
- Drain excess grease and return beef to skillet.
- Add taco seasoning and water, stir and simmer until thickened.
- Stir in salsa con queso until melted and combined.
- Preheat oven to 350°F and spray baking pan.
- Layer tortilla, 1/3 beef mixture, and 1/3 cheese.
- Repeat layers.
- Add final tortilla, remaining beef, and cheese.
- Bake 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Drain beef well to prevent greasy texture.
- Let casserole rest before slicing for cleaner cuts.
- Customize heat level with spicy taco seasoning or pepper jack cheese.
