Quick and easy low calorie bagels made with Greek yogurt. These homemade bagels are high in protein, lightly golden, soft inside, and perfect for a healthy breakfast.
Ingredients

- 5 oz all-purpose flour
- 1 cup nonfat Greek yogurt
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- Extra flour for kneading
Instructions
- Add the flour to a large bowl
- Mix in the sea salt, baking powder, and brown sugar
- Add the Greek yogurt and stir until a dough forms
- Beat the egg and mix most of it into the dough, reserving a small amount for egg wash
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes
- Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces
- Roll each piece into a cylinder and shape into bagels
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet
- Place bagels on the sheet and brush with egg wash
- Bake on the top rack for 20 to 25 minutes until lightly browned
Notes
- Use thick nonfat Greek yogurt for best results
- Do not over-knead the dough
- Allow bagels to cool slightly before slicing
