- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 recommended)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cups shredded iceberg or romaine lettuce
- 1/2 cup dill pickle chips
- 1/2 cup chopped onion (optional)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- In a small bowl combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, and onion powder until smooth to make the sauce
- Place ground beef in a bowl and mix with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the beef while breaking it into crumbles for about 6 to 8 minutes until browned
- Drain excess grease from the skillet
- Divide shredded lettuce into four bowls and top with cooked ground beef
- Add shredded cheddar cheese, pickle chips, and chopped onion over each bowl
- Drizzle tangy burger sauce over the bowls and serve immediately
Notes
- Skip ketchup or use keto ketchup to reduce carbs
- Ground turkey or chicken can replace ground beef
- Store sauce separately during meal prep to keep lettuce crisp
