Description
These Maple Caramel Bacon Crack Bites are bite-sized bits of heaven — sweet, salty, and ready in just 30 minutes. Perfect for parties, brunches, or anytime you crave a crispy maple-bacon treat.
Ingredients
2 (15-count) packages frozen phyllo cups (30 total)
1 lb regular-cut bacon (any flavor such as peppered, hickory-smoked, or maple; avoid thick-cut)
¾ cup brown sugar
½ cup maple syrup
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
Arrange the phyllo cups on the prepared baking sheet and set aside.
Fry the bacon in batches until nearly done but not crispy. It should still be slightly chewy.
Drain bacon on a paper towel-lined plate, cool briefly, and chop into fine bits.
Spoon ½ teaspoon of brown sugar into each phyllo cup.
Add a small drizzle of maple syrup into each cup.
Fill each cup generously with chopped bacon, mounding it slightly.
Sprinkle the remaining brown sugar evenly over the tops.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until bacon is crisp and the maple caramel is bubbly and golden.
Cool for 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm.
Notes
Use regular-cut bacon only; thick-cut is too heavy for the delicate phyllo shells.
For a spicy twist, add a pinch of cayenne or smoked paprika to the brown sugar.
To store, cool completely, and keep in an airtight container up to 2 days. Reheat in oven before serving.
