Description

Garlic bread meatball bombs are savory meatball-filled dinner rolls brushed with garlic butter, topped with marinara and melty cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons grated garlic
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 12 bakery-style dinner rolls
  • 1½ cups marinara sauce
  • 12 Italian-style meatballs
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 8 ounces whole milk mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and spray a 9×13 baking pan with cooking spray.
  2. Whisk together melted butter, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cut a 1½-inch well into the center of each roll without cutting through.
  4. Brush garlic butter inside wells and over tops of rolls.
  5. Spoon marinara into each well.
  6. Place one meatball into each roll and top with remaining sauce.
  7. Sprinkle parmesan and mozzarella over the rolls.
  8. Bake 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  1. Use 2-inch meatballs for best fit.
  2. Do not cut too deep into rolls.
  3. Check at 20 minutes as oven temperatures vary.
