Description

Mexican 7 Layer Dip is a simple cold party dip layered with refried beans, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, tomatoes, olives, and green onions.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 32 ounces refried beans
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 2 cups guacamole
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 3 cups diced tomatoes
  • 2.25 ounces sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Combine refried beans and taco seasoning until smooth
  2. Spread the bean mixture evenly in a 13 x 9 inch dish
  3. Layer guacamole over the beans
  4. Spread sour cream evenly over the guacamole
  5. Add a layer of shredded cheese
  6. Top with diced tomatoes
  7. Finish with black olives and green onions
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving

Notes

  1. Prepare up to one day ahead
  2. Drain tomatoes well to avoid excess moisture
  3. Serve chilled with sturdy tortilla chips
