Description
Mexican fruit cups are versatile, easy to make, and refreshing. Enjoy fresh mango, pineapple, watermelon, jícama, cucumber, and oranges with a tangy zing from lime juice, chamoy, and Tajín. Perfect for a healthy snack or party treat.
Ingredients
1 large mango (peeled and cut into spears)
2 large oranges (peeled and cut into cubes)
½ small pineapple (peeled, cored and cut into cubes)
1 large jícama (peeled and cut into cubes)
4 cups watermelon (peeled and cubed)
2 medium cucumbers (peeled and cut into spears)
Tajín or chili powder, as needed
Chamoy, Valentina, or other hot Mexican salsa
3 limes (some for juice and some for garnish)
Instructions
Place fruit pieces in cups alternating each type of fruit.
Squeeze a little lime juice over the fruit.
Add a splash of salsa.
Sprinkle Tajín on top.
Place a lime wedge on each cup.
Serve immediately.
Notes
Add Chamoy or Tajín gradually, taste and adjust to your liking.
If using other salsa or chili powders, add a pinch of salt.
Chill fruit before assembling for extra refreshment.
