Description

The classic Nestle Toll House Cookie Recipe so many home bakers love. A nostalgic chocolate chip cookie with perfect texture and rich flavor.


Ingredients

Scale

2 cups plus 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

1 1/2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1/2 cup butter, softened (salted or unsalted)

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 cup dark brown sugar, packed

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 large eggs

2 cups Nestle Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

2. Beat butter, sugars, and vanilla until well combined. Add eggs one at a time.

3. Add half the flour with baking soda and salt. Mix, then add remaining flour and chocolate chips.

4. Chill dough for at least one hour, up to 24 hours.

5. Scoop dough into rounded tablespoons and place on ungreased baking sheet.

6. Bake 8–10 minutes until golden at edges. Cool two minutes, then transfer to rack.

7. Store tightly covered once fully cooled.

Notes

For original recipe:

Use 2 1/4 cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 cup butter, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 3/4 cup granulated sugar.

Do not chill dough for the original version.
