Description
No Churn Banana Ice Cream is a creamy, naturally sweet frozen dessert made without an ice cream maker. It combines ripe bananas, whipped cream, and sweetened condensed milk into a simple, delicious treat. Perfect for hot days or anytime you crave a healthier ice cream alternative.
Ingredients
3 ripe bananas (mashed or pureed)
2 cups heavy whipping cream (cold)
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Pinch of salt (optional)
Optional mix-ins:
½ cup mini chocolate chips
¼ cup chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts or pecans)
Swirl of peanut butter, caramel, or chocolate sauce
Instructions
Prepare Bananas: Peel and mash the ripe bananas until smooth. You can also puree them for an even creamier texture.
Whip Cream: In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. This takes about 3–4 minutes with a hand mixer.
Fold in Condensed Milk: Gently fold in the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, and salt (if using) into the whipped cream.
Add Bananas: Fold in the mashed bananas until evenly combined. Be gentle to keep the mixture airy.
Mix in Optional Ingredients: Add chocolate chips, nuts, or swirls at this stage if desired. Fold in carefully.
Freeze: Transfer the mixture into a freezer-safe container. Smooth the top and cover with a lid or plastic wrap.
Let It Set: Freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight for a firmer texture.
Serve: Let sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, roast the bananas with a drizzle of maple syrup before mashing.
You can skip the vanilla if you prefer a more natural banana taste.
Use coconut cream and dairy-free condensed milk for a vegan version.
