Description

These easy Oreo Balls feature a smooth cookies-and-cream center coated in melted chocolate. The no-bake recipe uses only three ingredients and makes 36 rich bite-sized treats for parties, holidays, gifting, or cookie exchanges.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 regular Oreo cookies, including the filling
  • 1 package brick-style cream cheese, softened, 8 ounces
  • 16 ounces semisweet, milk, or white chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons reserved Oreo crumbs for decorating, optional

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
  2. Place all 36 whole Oreo cookies in a food processor or blender and process them into fine crumbs.
  3. Reserve 1 to 2 tablespoons of cookie crumbs for decorating, if desired.
  4. Transfer the remaining crumbs to a large mixing bowl and add the softened cream cheese.
  5. Beat the cookie crumbs and cream cheese with a handheld mixer until fully combined, scraping the bowl as needed.
  6. Measure the mixture into one-tablespoon portions and roll each portion into a smooth ball.
  7. Arrange the balls on the prepared baking sheet and freeze them for at least 20 minutes.
  8. Place the chopped chocolate in a clean microwave-safe bowl.
  9. Microwave the chocolate in 20 to 30 second intervals, stirring thoroughly after each interval, until smooth.
  10. Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate and turn it until fully coated.
  11. Lift the ball with a fork, let excess chocolate drip away, and return it to the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  12. Sprinkle reserved Oreo crumbs over each ball while the coating remains wet.
  13. Refrigerate the coated Oreo balls for at least 20 minutes, or until the chocolate hardens.
  14. Serve chilled and enjoy.

Notes

  1. Use whole regular Oreo cookies and do not remove the cream filling.
  2. Choose brick-style cream cheese rather than cream cheese spread from a tub.
  3. Chill the shaped centers before dipping so they remain firm.
  4. Store Oreo Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  5. Freeze the finished balls in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months.
  6. Thaw frozen Oreo Balls overnight in the refrigerator before serving.
  7. Nutrition values are estimated per one Oreo ball.
