  • Author: Olivia Hartwellen

Description

Soft, chewy, and bursting with cookies and cream flavor! These bakery-style Oreo cookies and cream cookies are the ultimate treat for Oreo lovers and are perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 15 Oreo cookies, roughly crushed
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Prepare the dough:
In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes). Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Mix the dry ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  • Fold in the Oreos and chips:
Gently fold in the crushed Oreo cookies and white chocolate chips until evenly distributed in the dough.
  • Chill the dough:
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes to ensure thick, chewy cookies.
  • Bake the cookies:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop out 1.5 tablespoons of dough for each cookie, roll into balls, and space them 2 inches apart on the sheet.
  • Finish baking:
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers remain soft. Allow the cookies to cool for 5 minutes on the sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Enjoy fresh:
Serve with a glass of cold milk or your favorite warm drink!

Notes

  • Chill the Dough: Chilling the cookie dough for at least 30 minutes prevents the cookies from spreading too much and helps achieve that thick, chewy texture.
  • Don’t Overbake: Remove the cookies when the edges are golden but the centers still look soft. They’ll continue to set on the baking sheet as they cool.
  • Crush Oreos Gently: For the perfect cookies and cream texture, crush the Oreos into chunks rather than crumbs to get bits of creamy filling and crunchy cookie in every bite.
