Description
These outrageous chocolate chip cookies combine oats, peanut butter, and rich chocolate for a chewy, loaded cookie everyone loves.
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two cookie sheets.
2. Stir flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.
3. Cream butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
4. Blend in peanut butter, egg, and vanilla.
5. Mix in dry ingredients until just moistened.
6. Stir in oats and chocolate chips.
7. Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto prepared sheets.
8. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges brown.
9. Cool on sheets for 5 minutes, then move to racks.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container for softness.
