Description
Classic pepper steak recipe with tender beef, peppers, and a savory soy sauce.
Ingredients
1 lb flank steak, sliced thin
2 bell peppers (red and green), sliced
1 onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup water
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp sugar (optional)
1 tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. Marinate steak with soy sauce, black pepper, and cornstarch.
2. Heat oil in a wok and stir-fry bell peppers and onions. Set aside.
3. Cook marinated beef until browned.
4. Add garlic, soy sauce, and water to make sauce.
5. Return vegetables to pan, toss, and cook for 2 more minutes.
Notes
Serve over jasmine rice or cauliflower rice.
Add red pepper flakes for extra heat.
