Description
Philly Cheese Steak Foil Packets are an easy, flavorful meal with ground beef, vegetables, and melted cheese cooked in foil for quick cleanup.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef 80/20
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1 cup green pepper, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 4 cups potatoes, diced into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1 cup mushrooms, thinly sliced
- 4 slices provolone, Swiss, or American cheese
- 4 teaspoons steak seasoning blend
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Cut 8 foil sheets about 14 x 10 inches
- Lay out 4 sheets and spray with nonstick spray
- Divide onions, potatoes, peppers, and mushrooms evenly
- Add ground beef pieces on top of vegetables
- Season each packet with steak seasoning and pepper
- Cover with second foil sheet and seal tightly
- Cook in oven at 400°F for 35–40 minutes or grill/campfire for 25–35 minutes
- Open packets carefully and add cheese on top
- Let cheese melt, then serve
Notes
- Use double foil if cooking over campfire
- Cut potatoes just before cooking to prevent browning
- Adjust seasoning after cooking if needed
- Fresh grated cheese melts better than slices
- Pre-cut vegetables for faster prep
