- 8 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- Pink food coloring
- Pink sanding sugar
- Hershey’s Kisses
Instructions
- Unwrap the Hershey’s Kisses and place them in the freezer.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, melted butter, egg, and vanilla until a dough forms.
- Add the softened cream cheese and mix until fully incorporated and smooth.
- Add pink food coloring and mix until evenly colored.
- Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes to chill.
- Roll small portions of dough into balls using your hands.
- Roll each dough ball in pink sanding sugar and place on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake at 350°F for 8 minutes.
- Remove cookies from the oven and transfer to a cooling rack.
- Press a frozen Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each warm cookie.
Notes
- Freeze the chocolate kisses so they keep their shape.
- Use white cake mix for the brightest pink color.
- Do not overbake; cookies should stay soft and pale.
