-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese of choice)
-
2 large eggs
-
1 small onion, finely chopped
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1/2 teaspoon salt
-
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
-
1/2 teaspoon paprika or mustard powder (optional)
Optional Add-ins:
-
Cooked bacon bits
-
Jalapeños or hot sauce
-
Barbecue sauce
-
Mozzarella or pepper jack cheese
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
-
Cook beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned (5–7 minutes).
-
Add flavor: Stir in chopped onion and garlic. Cook 3 more minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and optional spices. Drain excess fat.
-
Prepare crust: Place the pie crust in a pie dish. Optionally pre-bake for 5 minutes to prevent sogginess.
-
Assemble pie: Add the beef mixture to the crust. Sprinkle cheese evenly on top.
-
Add eggs: Whisk the eggs and pour them over the filling to bind the ingredients.
-
Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the pie is set and lightly golden.
-
Cool: Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Pre-baking the crust helps avoid sogginess.
Add more cheese on top during the last 5 minutes of baking for extra gooeyness.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
Reheat covered in the oven at 350°F for 10–20 minutes.
