Description
These Pizza Lunchables are easy homemade kids lunch kits made with mini naan breads, shredded mozzarella, marinara sauce, and pepperoni. Pack everything in a bento box and let kids build their own mini pizzas.
Ingredients
Scale
- 5 mini Stonefire naan breads or naan dippers
- ⅓ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 tablespoons marinara sauce
- 10 pepperoni slices
- Optional: sliced olives, diced bell peppers, mini turkey pepperoni, or Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Start with a clean, completely dry bento box so the naan stays soft and fresh.
- Place the 5 mini naan breads in the largest compartment of the bento box.
- Shred the mozzarella cheese and add it to a separate large compartment.
- Spoon the marinara sauce into another section with enough room for dipping or spreading.
- Add the pepperoni slices to a smaller section, along with any optional toppings.
- Pack the bento box in a lunch bag with an ice pack.
- Add a small spoon for the sauce and a napkin for easy cleanup.
- At lunchtime, spread sauce over the naan, sprinkle with cheese, add pepperoni, and enjoy.
Notes
- Make sure the bento box dries completely after washing because water can make the naan soggy.
- Shred the cheese in the morning for the freshest taste and best texture.
- Use a thicker marinara sauce so it stays in place and feels easier for kids to spread.
- Place the sauce in a roomy compartment or small covered container so kids can scoop it easily.
- Do not forget a spoon and napkin because the marinara sauce can get messy.
- Add an ice pack to keep the lunch fresh until serving.
