Layers of seasoned beef, marinara, melted mozzarella, and crispy tater tots baked into a comforting pizza-style casserole.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- Optional toppings: pepperoni, olives, bell peppers, green onions, mushrooms
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook ground beef and onion in a skillet until browned, then drain excess grease.
- Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper and simmer briefly.
- Spread beef mixture in baking dish and sprinkle with 1 cup cheese.
- Arrange tater tots over the cheese and top with remaining cheese.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until tots are crisp and cheese is bubbly.
- Add optional toppings and bake 5 more minutes before serving.
Notes
- Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- For extra crisp tops, broil briefly at the end.
