Description

The perfect sweet-and-salty snack! Crunchy pretzels, gooey Rolos, and crunchy pecans create an irresistible bite-sized treat. Easy to make, customizable, and ideal for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 40 mini pretzels
  • 40 Rolo candies, unwrapped
  • 40 pecan halves (or other nuts)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Arrange pretzels in rows on the baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
  • Place a Rolo candy in the center of each pretzel.
  • Bake for 3-5 minutes, just until the Rolos are softened (not melted). Keep an eye on them!
  • Gently press a pecan half into each softened Rolo to flatten it slightly.
  • Cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack. Let them set completely at room temperature or refrigerate for faster results.

Notes

  • Monitor Baking Time: Keep a close eye on the Rolos in the oven. They should soften, not completely melt, which usually takes only 3-5 minutes. Overheating can make the caramel runny and hard to work with.
  • Cooling is Key: Allow the Pretzel Turtles to cool completely before serving or storing. This ensures the chocolate and caramel re-solidify properly for the perfect texture and prevents sticking.
  • Storage Tip: Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place to maintain freshness for up to a week. For longer storage, refrigerate or freeze, but allow time for them to return to room temperature before serving.
