Quick Tiramisu Balls in 10 Minutes

  • Author: Olivia Hartwellen
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 12 balls 1x

Description

Delightfully rich, creamy, and full of flavor, these no-bake tiramisu balls are the ultimate quick dessert. Ready in just 10 minutes, they’re perfect for any occasion or indulgent snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 810 ladyfingers, crushed into fine crumbs
  • 2 tbsp instant coffee (brewed and cooled)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder (for coating)
  • Optional: Nutella for filling

Instructions

  • Brew the Coffee: Prepare a small cup of strong coffee using instant coffee or espresso. Allow it to cool completely.
  • Crush Ladyfingers: Use a food processor or place the ladyfingers in a ziplock bag and crush them with a rolling pin until they become fine crumbs.
  • Mix Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and the cooled coffee. Stir until smooth and creamy. Add the crushed ladyfingers and mix until the mixture forms a dough-like consistency.
  • Shape Balls: Scoop a small amount of the mixture and roll it into bite-sized balls. For a surprise filling, flatten the dough, place a small amount of Nutella in the center, and shape it back into a ball.
  • Coat with Cocoa: Roll each ball in cocoa powder until fully coated. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Chill: Refrigerate the tiramisu balls for 10-15 minutes to set.

Notes

  • Coffee Temperature: Ensure the coffee is completely cooled before mixing it with the mascarpone. Warm coffee can cause the mixture to become too runny.
  • Consistency Check: If the mixture feels too soft to roll, add more crushed ladyfingers, one tablespoon at a time, until it holds its shape.
  • Storage Tip: Store tiramisu balls in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. They can also be frozen for up to 2 months for a make-ahead treat!
