Description

This Simple Christmas Bruschetta Wreath is the perfect festive appetizer featuring juicy tomatoes, fresh basil, creamy cheese, and crispy baguette slices.

Ingredients

Scale

4 ripe Roma tomatoes, diced

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds

1 garlic clove, for rubbing

Fresh rosemary sprigs, for garnish

1/2 cup soft white cheese (ricotta, cream cheese, or mozzarella pearls)

Optional: Grated Parmesan

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast for 5–7 minutes until golden.

2. Rub each warm slice with the cut side of a garlic clove.

3. Combine diced tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Rest for 10 minutes.

4. Arrange toasted baguette slices in a circular wreath shape.

5. Top with tomato mixture and small dollops of cheese. Garnish with rosemary and drizzle olive oil before serving.

Notes

Best served fresh. For make-ahead, keep tomato mixture chilled and assemble just before serving.
