Description
Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak is an easy, nutritious, convenient, and delicious meal!
Ingredients
6 oz mushrooms, sliced
½ onion, sliced
½ tbsp olive oil
1 ½ cups beef broth
1 –1 oz package dry brown gravy mix
2 tbsps ketchup
2 tbsps Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsps Dijon mustard
2 tbsps fresh parsley, chopped
1 tbsp cornstarch
½ cup water
1 lb lean ground beef
1 egg
½ tbsp dry minced onion
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp mustard powder
1 tbsp dry parsley
¼ cup Panko breadcrumbs
2 tbsps milk
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Place the sliced onions and mushrooms in the bottom of the slow cooker.
2. Place all the ingredients for the beef patties in a medium-sized bowl and mix them using a fork or your hands until combined. Form 4 patties.
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet and brown the patties on both sides for 3 minutes each.
4. Place browned patties in the crockpot on top of the mushrooms and onions.
5. Whisk broth, ketchup, Worcestershire, Dijon, parsley, and gravy mix. Pour into crockpot. Cook on low 5 hours or high 3 hours.
6. Dissolve cornstarch into water. Remove patties. Stir slurry into the gravy. Cook on high until thickened.
7. Return steaks to the pot and cover with gravy. Serve with parsley.
Notes
Serve with mashed potatoes, noodles, rice, or vegetables.
