Description

Spicy Ricotta Dip with Hot Honey


Ingredients

Scale

2 cups fresh ricotta cheese (whole milk preferred for creaminess)

zest from half a lemon

a dash black pepper

1 tbsp olive oil

juice from half a lemon

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp crushed chili flakes

1/4 cup runny honey

1 tsp spicy sauce

1/4 cup chopped walnuts

1 to 2 tsp fresh chopped rosemary


Instructions

1. In a food processor, combine ricotta, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and olive oil.

2. Blend on high until smooth and creamy.

3. Spread whipped ricotta in a shallow bowl.

4. Mix honey, hot sauce, and chili flakes in a bowl.

5. Drizzle honey mixture over ricotta.

6. Top with walnuts and rosemary.

7. Serve with crackers or crostini.

Notes

Let ricotta come to room temperature for smoother blending.

Strain ricotta if watery.

Warm honey gently to avoid bitterness.
