Description

Buttery spinach cheese puffs baked in muffin cups with flaky pastry, creamy cheese, and savory flavor.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon dried dill
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped and packed
  • ¾ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 teaspoons bacon bits
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Spray a muffin pan with cooking spray.
  2. Soften cream cheese and mix with egg, olive oil, and dill.
  3. Combine spinach, feta, bacon, salt, and pepper, then mix with cream cheese.
  4. Cut puff pastry into 9 squares and press into muffin cups.
  5. Fill with spinach mixture, fold corners, and brush with butter.
  6. Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes until golden.
  7. Cool for 10 minutes, then remove and serve.

Notes

  1. Allow puffs to cool slightly before removing from the pan.
  2. Reheat leftovers in the oven for best texture.
