- 1/3 cup softened butter

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a 9×13 baking dish with parchment paper or foil.
- Combine brownie mix, eggs, coffee, butter, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract in a large bowl.
- Beat until smooth and fully combined.
- Pour batter into prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a tester comes out clean.
- Cool brownies completely before removing from pan.
- Cut brownies into stars using a star-shaped cookie cutter.
- Place brownie stars on a wire rack over a baking tray.
- Melt blue candy melts in short microwave intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Drizzle melted candy over brownies and top immediately with patriotic sprinkles.
- Allow candy coating to set before serving.

- Do not overbake brownies or they may crumble when cutting.
