Description

Juicy steak served with a rich and creamy garlic sauce for a restaurant quality dinner at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 steaks (ribeye, sirloin, or filet mignon)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat steaks dry and season generously with salt and pepper
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil
  3. Sear steaks for 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden crust forms
  4. Add butter and baste the steaks while finishing cooking
  5. Remove steaks and let them rest
  6. In the same pan sauté garlic until fragrant
  7. Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese
  8. Simmer until sauce thickens
  9. Return steaks to the pan and coat with sauce before serving

Notes

  1. Use well-marbled steak for best flavor and tenderness
  2. Do not overcrowd the pan to achieve a proper sear
  3. Let the steak rest before serving to retain juices
