Ingredients

- 2 steaks (ribeye, sirloin, or filet mignon)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat steaks dry and season generously with salt and pepper
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil
- Sear steaks for 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden crust forms
- Add butter and baste the steaks while finishing cooking
- Remove steaks and let them rest
- In the same pan sauté garlic until fragrant
- Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese
- Simmer until sauce thickens
- Return steaks to the pan and coat with sauce before serving

- Use well-marbled steak for best flavor and tenderness
- Do not overcrowd the pan to achieve a proper sear
- Let the steak rest before serving to retain juices
