Description

Super quick stewed rhubarb made with only a few ingredients. Perfect as a fruity topping for desserts or breakfast dishes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 g fresh rhubarb
  • 120 ml water
  • 80 g white sugar
  • 1 lime (optional, juice and zest)

Instructions

  1. Wash and trim rhubarb, then cut into small pieces
  2. Add rhubarb, water, sugar, and lime to a pot
  3. Simmer on low-medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally
  4. Cook until rhubarb breaks down into a sauce
  5. Cool completely and store in a sealed jar

Notes

  1. Adjust sugar depending on rhubarb sweetness
  2. Cook longer for smoother texture
  3. Store in fridge up to 2 weeks
