Description
A dreamy dessert that combines the rich crunch of Oreos, the fresh sweetness of strawberries, and a luscious, creamy frosting. Every bite is a perfect blend of flavors and textures, making it a showstopper for any occasion!
Ingredients
- 20 Oreo cookies, crushed
- 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Oreo Base: Crush the Oreos into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a ziplock bag and smashing them with a rolling pin. Spread half of the crushed Oreos at the bottom of a serving dish.
2️⃣ Make the Frosting: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then continue mixing until creamy and fluffy.
3️⃣ Whip the Cream: In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold it into the cream cheese mixture to create a light, fluffy frosting.
4️⃣ Assemble the Dessert:
- Spread half of the frosting over the crushed Oreo base.
- Sprinkle a generous layer of fresh strawberries on top.
- Add the remaining frosting, followed by the rest of the Oreo crumbs.
5️⃣ Chill & Serve: Refrigerate for at least 3 hours to allow the layers to set. Serve chilled and enjoy this heavenly delight!
Notes
1️⃣ Prevent Soggy Oreos – To maintain the crunch, layer the Oreos first and avoid excessive moisture from the strawberries. Serve the dessert soon after chilling to keep the texture perfect.
2️⃣ Whip the Cream Properly – Ensure the heavy cream is whipped to stiff peaks before folding it into the frosting. This gives the dessert its light, fluffy texture and prevents a runny consistency.
3️⃣ Chill for Best Flavor – Let the dessert set in the fridge for at least 3 hours (or overnight) to allow the flavors to meld together. The longer it chills, the better it tastes!
