Description

Surf and Turf with juicy ribeye steak and garlic butter shrimp, served with asparagus for a quick and flavorful dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 Ribeye steak
  • 16 extra-large shrimp, deveined
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 12 asparagus spears
  • Sea salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Thaw shrimp for at least 30 minutes and pat dry
  2. Mix butter, garlic, and parsley to make garlic butter and refrigerate
  3. Pat steak dry, brush with oil, and season with salt
  4. Sear steak 3 to 5 minutes per side and rest with butter under foil
  5. Cook asparagus in butter, oil, and water for 5 minutes
  6. Season shrimp and cook in butter and oil for 2 to 3 minutes per side
  7. Slice steak, plate with shrimp and asparagus, and drizzle with garlic butter

Notes

  1. Thaw shrimp completely before cooking
  2. You can substitute ribeye with strip, sirloin, or filet
  3. Avoid overcooking shrimp to keep them tender
