Description

Taco tortilla roll-ups are creamy, flavorful pinwheel snacks made with seasoned filling rolled in soft tortillas. Easy to prep ahead, they’re perfect for parties, lunches, and quick bites. Mix and match ingredients to make them just right for your taste.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 large flour tortillas (soft, medium or large size)

  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)

  • ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend)

  • 1 packet taco seasoning

  • ½ cup chopped green onions

  • ½ cup diced bell peppers

  • Optional: 1 cup shredded cooked chicken or black beans

  • Optional: 2 tbsp chopped cilantro or jalapeños

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Make the filling: In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning until smooth.

  • Stir in cheese, onions, peppers, and any other fillings.

  • Taste and adjust seasoning.

  • Assemble: Lay out tortillas. Spread a thin, even layer of filling, leaving a small border.

  • Roll each tortilla tightly.

  • Chill: Cover rolls and refrigerate for 1 hour.

  • Slice: Use a sharp knife to cut into 1-inch pieces.

  • Serve: Arrange on a platter. Garnish with herbs or serve with dips like salsa or guacamole.

Notes

Use gluten-free tortillas and dairy-free cheese for special diets.

Don’t overfill to prevent sogginess.

Best served cold or at room temperature.

It can be made 1 day ahead.
