Description

Texas Roadhouse Steak made at home with a bold seasoning blend and juicy grilled finish that delivers restaurant style flavor easily.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs sirloin steak
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Mix all seasoning ingredients together in a bowl
  2. Rub approximately 1 tablespoon of seasoning on each side of the steak
  3. Let the steaks rest at room temperature for at least 30 minutes
  4. Preheat grill to 400°F
  5. Oil the grill grates lightly
  6. Place steaks on grill and cook for 3 to 5 minutes
  7. Flip steaks and cook another 3 to 5 minutes
  8. Remove steaks and rest for at least 5 minutes before serving

Notes

  1. Use an instant read thermometer to check doneness
  2. Rare 120°F, Medium Rare 130°F, Medium 140°F, Medium Well 150°F, Well Done 160°F
  3. This seasoning works with ribeye, T-bone, or strip steak as well
