Description

Thai Basil Beef Rolls combine savory marinated beef, fresh herbs, and crisp vegetables wrapped in soft rice paper for a light yet satisfying dish.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 12 rice paper wrappers
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 medium cucumber, julienned
  • 1 small carrot, julienned
  • 1 small red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Marinate beef with fish sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, garlic, and chili flakes
  2. Cook beef in a skillet until browned and cooked through
  3. Soften rice paper wrappers in warm water
  4. Layer basil, cilantro, vegetables, and beef on wrappers
  5. Roll tightly and repeat with remaining ingredients
  6. Serve with dipping sauce

Notes

  1. Do not oversoak rice paper
  2. Slice beef thin for best texture
  3. Serve chilled or at room temperature
