Description
These soft and fluffy garlic cheese rolls are packed with melted cheese and buttery garlic goodness. Perfect as a side dish for pasta, soups, or as a standalone snack, these rolls are easy to make and full of flavor.
Ingredients
For the Dough:
3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast
1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp salt
1 large egg
For the Filling:
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
For Topping:
2 tbsp melted butter
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Prepare the Dough:
In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
Add melted butter, egg, salt, and flour. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Make the Filling:
Mix softened butter, minced garlic, and parsley in a small bowl.
Assemble the Rolls:
Roll out the dough into a rectangle (about 12×18 inches).
Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the dough.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.
Roll the dough tightly from the long edge and cut into 12 equal pieces.
Bake:
Place the rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake for 18-22 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
Add Topping & Serve:
Brush warm rolls with melted butter mixed with garlic and parsley.
Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For extra cheesiness, add more mozzarella inside the rolls.
You can substitute fresh garlic with ½ tsp garlic powder if needed.
These rolls can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for longer storage.
