Description

Soft and chewy turtle sugar cookies colored green and shaped into adorable turtles, perfect for fun baking.


Ingredients

Scale
  • ⅔ cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ¾ cups flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Green gel food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F
  2. Beat sugar, butter, and vanilla until creamy
  3. Add egg and mix well
  4. Add dry ingredients and mix until smooth dough forms
  5. Add green food coloring and mix evenly
  6. Roll dough into balls and place on baking sheet
  7. Press with fork to create shell pattern
  8. Shape head and feet and attach
  9. Bake 5–7 minutes until lightly golden
  10. Cool and draw eyes with edible marker

Notes

  1. Do not overbake to keep cookies soft
  2. Chill dough if it becomes sticky
  3. Use gel food coloring for better color
