- 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons Valentine sprinkles
- 1 tub white frosting
- 1/4 cup Valentine sprinkles
- 1 tablespoon candy hearts or red M&M’s
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- Add butter, eggs, and vanilla and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Fold in Valentine sprinkles and spread the dough evenly into the pan.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow the bars to cool completely.
- Spread frosting evenly over the cooled cookie base.
- Decorate with sprinkles and candy hearts, then cut into bars.
Notes
- Chill the dough for 10–15 minutes before baking to help the bars bake evenly.
- Let the bars cool completely before frosting to keep the frosting thick and smooth.
- Use an 8×8-inch pan for thicker bars or a larger pan for thinner bars with adjusted bake time.
