Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (12.4 oz) refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing)
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter (for cooking)
- Maple syrup or extra icing (for serving)
Instructions
- Prep the Rolls: Open the cinnamon roll can and cut each roll into quarters.
- Make the Custard: In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
- Coat the Bites: Dip the cinnamon roll pieces into the custard mixture, ensuring they are fully coated but not overly soggy.
- Cook: Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt the butter. Place the coated cinnamon roll pieces in the pan and cook for about 2–3 minutes per side or until golden brown.
- Serve: Drizzle with the icing that comes with the cinnamon rolls or maple syrup. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra crispiness, bake the bites in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes after pan-frying.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar or crushed nuts for extra texture.
- You can also use homemade cinnamon rolls instead of canned for a from-scratch version.
